Immersive Media Publishing Tools is the 'face' of 'im enabled'. These are the tools that provide the user interfaces to play, interact, and share immersive rich media content. As a technology provider to enable the wide spread adoption of 360 media Immersive Media provides software SDKs so developers can embed immersive technology in their products. We use these same SDKs to create our own products. This not only helps us maintain high quality but gives us a direct reason to drive new features and IP to the market.

The immersive experience is viewed on a computer or mobile device through a special software 'player' application. The player presents a 'viewing window,' similar to our natural perspective of the world and the user has the ability to look around and see everything in their environment.

im360 Mobile

A spherical video player for mobile devices. Plays spherical video and synchronized audio as well as panoramic stills.

Buy it at the Apple AppStore or on iTunes, includes sample videos but lets you download and install additional media.

The immersive player augments this real-life view with its own scene management engine which enables the addition of computer graphics enhancements to the scene, as well as 3-D scene coordinates so the actual locations of objects (real or simulated) are properly rendered in perspective. This unique capability creates a world of augmented reality that permits the merging of many georeferenced datasets and the ability to add more information to a scene than simply what is there purely in the original visual image.

Applications for this kind of imagery are commercial (entertainment, advertising and news-gathering), industrial, location based services (visual mapping, asset management) and for military/security agencies (disaster first response, training, post event debriefing).

Features:
  • Plays spherical video and audio
  • Allows multiple videos to share the same soundtrack
  • Full screen spherical playback
  • Creates simulated 3D for stereo viewing mode
  • Anaglyph 3D playback
  • 360 still image viewer lets you upload your own still images (Here's one to try: http://www.immersivemedia.com/images/5400x2750-WarrenG.jpg)
im360 Mobile Software Development Kit (SDK)

The i360 SDK lets developers create their own iPhone apps. It provides smooth playback of spherical videos on mobile devices. Supporting both finger drag and motion navigation, the mobile device becomes a window to another world. Share your view from the top of the ski mountain, or a backstage pass to your favorite concert, or be a gunner in the turret of the Millennium Falcon.® C++, Objective C.

im360 Desktop Player

This Windows desktop player plays spherical video and audio as well as still image media at the highest resolutions smoothly. It uses a DirectX codec installed on the PC and will support many file formats Share videos before encoding to the iPhone, show videos on dome projectors or head mounted displays. Even view the same spherical video from multiple angles simultaneously.

im360 Desktop Software Development Kit (SDK)

Our desktop SDK provides powerful flexibility to create applications for viewing and interacting with immersive video. The SDK contains API interfaces to support the embedding of the player in applications. Documentation and sample applications help novice and advanced developers create immersive solutions.

im360 Flash Player

The im360 SDK lets developers create their own web apps. The im360 Flash player is a 3D scene manager meaning that the 360 video texture is just the beginning. A full coordinate system is used for rendering scenes and augmented objects. This supports Hotspots, 2D billboards, guided navigation, navigation arrows, interactive maps and more. Code examples help speed development. Event callbacks are used to let the hosting web page react to user experiences in the video. You can even collect metrics on where users prefer to look. Javascript, ActionScript 3.x

im360 Flash Player Software Development Kit (SDK)

The i360 Flash SDK provides javascript and actionscript interfaces to a flash player for web applications. This player not only is for spherical video but is a full 3D scene manager so you can add hotspots, arrows, overlays and create an interactive experience. It is 'geo-aware' which allows you to use georeferenced video and add objects into a fully spatial world using a 3D coordinate system. In this way objects appear in proper perspective and size as the viewer moves through a scene. Numerous examples are provided with plug-ins for the most common behaviors but developers can extend the platform.

imLIVE

A complete turnkey system that puts your online audiences in the middle of a live event and gives them 360° viewing control. The imLive system simultaneously records the event and sends a standard rtmp stream in the Adobe Flash® format.

Immersive Media has qualified major stream distribution network providers such as Akamai®, Limelight®, and MediaNova® to deliver uninterrupted video to viewers around the world.

IM OnScene

IM OnScene™ pairs immersive video with an existing floorplan, blueprint, map or other document, allowing the user to follow a map visually through 360° video. IM OnScene™ works for indoor and outdoor areas, and can be referenced by any image or document. The examples below showcase some common applications where this technology is an ideal fit.

Video walkthrough of IM OnScene™ >

Experience IM OnScene™ at the US National Ignition Facility >

This project contains rare interior footage of the laser fusion system. A great animation of what you see in the OnScene project is available here.

Experience IM OnScene™ at your favorite resort >

A virtual vist to a resort will make people want to visit and can help them select a hotel or restaurant. This link is to the live site of our partner SlopeViews where they have extended OnScene with their own brand.

Experience IM OnScene™ at the mall>

This project shows a virtual visit to a public mall. Using the product's SDK, clickable ads or special events can be embedded in the map or the video.

Experience IM OnScene™ in the warehouse>

This project shows the stock condition of shelves and could be a virtual tour to spot fire safety issues or unauthorized construction.

Experience IM OnScene™ on campus>

This project provides first responders with a complete picture of an environment before entering.

IM GeoImmersive Viewer

The IM GeoImmersive Viewer is a three-paned window that simultaneously displays interactive immersive videos and an associated map displaying layers of overlays. Typical layers permit showing the route where the imagery was captured, imported asset shape files, and a full graphics layer. Built in tools for creating graphics and importing video make it an all-in-one standalone solution that permits sharing of geospatial information across an organization and with subcontractors, zoning officials, and the public.
