Oh Darling Immersive Video

Here’s a new video from Immersive Media featuring local Portland band Oh Darling.  It’s the song “I like You Baby” in its entirety, and ready for the internet or television.  Because we want to share spherical video with as many people as possible, the editors at IMC made two versions – one is our unique flash video that you can interact with and look in any direction, the other is more standard “2D” video that can be seen on YouTube.

IMC wants to bring the world of spherical video to the traditionally more accessible world of standard video.  The 2D version is what we call Immersive Broadcast Converted (IBC) video to showcase and explore the potential for “unwrapped” 360 video presentations.

We’ll embed these for you in this blog, but you can also visit http://ohdarlingmusic.com/presskit/ to see the interactive Immersive Video and learn more about Oh Darling. Or go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQlXRfjNMGc to see the IBC version.

Remember, you can embed either version of these videos into your own blog, MySpace, or Facebook page if you’re interested in sharing!

A Day in the Life…

Experience what it’s like to become a video mapper.  The freedom of the open road and exploring new cities… Immersive Media was recently featured in an Oregon Public Broadcasting television piece that provides a great narrative for a day in the life of a video mapper. (It’s easier than saying “GeoImmersive Data Collector,” which is their official title).  Also featured is some great dome projection footage, so if you’ve ever wanted to see 360-degree Immersive Video on a 12-foot dome, you should definitely check it out.

We’ve also developed an Immersive Media Facebook page with links to the same video, as well as others. The page is open to the public, and if you’re already a Facebook member, you should become a fan to get updates!
